Care Work By and For Library Workers
This community resource guide I made for LIS 707: Leadership, Marketing, and Strategic Communication fulfills Learning Outcome 2a. I define care work as a necessary facet of library services, both for patrons and workers. As part of this essay, I interviewed a librarian and supervisor who demonstrates through her lived experience how care work interacts with information. Though it's not a traditional conception of "information," care work is a critical part of how libraries are able to disseminate information effectively and ethically.
